1. Who we are

Deltara (“we”, “us”) provides analytics and journaling software for traders. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it.

2. Data we collect

Account data: name, email address, password hash (we never store plain-text passwords), and optional profile details such as timezone and date of birth.
Trading data you provide: trades, executions, accounts, strategies, notes, emotions, checklists, goals, and attachments you upload to your journal.
Waitlist and contact data: your email address and any message you send us through our forms.
Technical data: IP address, browser and device information used for session security (device fingerprinting), and aggregate usage analytics.

3. How we use your data

To provide and operate the Deltara application.
To compute your statistics and power AI features — your trading data is processed to serve you analytics, never to trade against you or to be sold to third parties.
To secure accounts, prevent fraud, and detect session hijacking.
To send the communications you asked for (waitlist updates, product announcements). You can unsubscribe at any time.

4. What we never do

We never sell your personal data.
We never share your trading journal with other users.
We never use your data to provide investment advice to others.

5. Data processors

We use a small set of infrastructure providers to run Deltara (cloud hosting, object storage for attachments, email delivery, payment processing, and error monitoring). Each processor only receives the minimum data needed to perform its function and is bound by data processing agreements.

6. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication (HttpOnly session cookies) and a preference cookie for your settings. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

7. Data retention and deletion

Your data is retained while your account is active. You can export your data and request deletion of your account at any time from the application settings; deletion removes your personal data and journal content from our production systems.

8. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@deltara.xyz.

9. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy as the product evolves and note the date of the latest revision at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced by email to registered users.
